Bama at Miss State is "in the books"
Sunday, November 15, 2009
It was a great football Saturday. This is probably the last game I'll see in-person this year. Maybe, just maybe a bowl game might be in-order.
I've had a fun time watching with family and friends. The trip to Starkville was a fitting finish to a fun year.

The Iron Bowl streak is gone, and yet I cannot move on

After six years of losses to Auburn, Bama finally got off the mat. The SEC Championship is next. Too much to ask for? Yes. But, I'll ask for a championship anyway. The image above gives me plenty of joy. What a fun football season.

Yes, I had a great time at the game.

The atmosphere was great. I've got three short videos of the Alabama vs. Clemson game posted on YouTube. Find them here, here, and here.
In addition, I've got photos of the game from my seats, and from my time in Hernando and Brooke Moreno's sky box. It was a great time!
Right at kickoff, Lynn sent the attached photo to me. The kids were at home cheering loudly. Surely, that led to victory. :)

In case there was every any doubt about what is important in Alabama, the following news story form the Decatur Daily should warm your heart. Click on the article below:
Saban joins Tyde in Bama-fan clan: Couple name sons for team, new head coach
What a great story. For those in my family that are totally "out to lunch" on these things, Nick Saban was just hired. Nick Saban has yet to coach a football game. Please check out this choice quote from the article:

Roll Tide!
That's right, Saban Hardin Witt, who was born Tuesday at about 5 p.m. in Decatur General Hospital, is named after Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. He was two weeks early and weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces.
So, what if Saban doesn't succeed as Alabama's football coach?
"We'll tell our son he was named after one of the highest paid coaches in college football," the father said.
What if Saban Witt turns into an Auburn fan?
"We'll put him up for adoption," his father, joked. "I'm not worried about that. He was bleeding Crimson before he was born, and I'm going to make sure he continues to bleed Crimson."
