Video highlight of Ethan's GOAL.

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

My son scored two tonight. But, as usual, he was a real force as a defender. He shut down several drives as he ran hard and never gave up on a play. It was about 76 degrees and no wind, thus a perfect evening to watch a victory.

Please follow the link to view this month's action in pictures. It has a little of everything. From Lynn's ZTA Convention in Tuscon, to Barrett's 5th birthday party, about 70 photos tells a lengthy story covering a busy month.

Fun in the summertime

As I wait for my friends to join me in the mountains for weekend rafting, I'm trying to "clean up" and post new family pictures. Some random shots from the month of June can be found at this link.

A-Day in Tuscaloosa

Sunday, April 13, 2008

The Birmingham Chapman family enjoyed a short road trip over to Tuscaloosa for spring football. Pictures of A-Day are up in the photo gallery. 78,200 fans were there for the scrimmage. Not quite as good as last year. But, still the largest (so far) spring game in the nation. Its great to be from Alabama!

Easter 2008 with the Birmingham Chapmans

Thursday, March 27, 2008

Easter weekend has come and gone. Yet, the candy found in plastic eggs continues to linger on. Now that Amelia is a big girl at 2-and-a-half, the Easter Egg hunt is faster-paced. Please scroll down the page at: http://chrisachapman.net to view several short video clips from Easter morning.

Do not forget to view family photos by clicking on the gallery link at the top of this blog. Specifically, the Easter photos can be directly accessed via this link.

Easter Egg Hunt, part 2

I'm trying to embed this video in a direct post, instead of transmitting it from YouTube. Here goes. Easter is over at this point. But, uploading videos sometimes takes lots of time. Memories and WiFi-connected uploads are not the best match.

Wayne Rooney, move over. There's a new (Chap)MAN on the pitch!

Saturday, March 01, 2008

Ethan took to the soccer field for the first time this morning. Ready to go. As one of the youngest and least-experienced, his moves aren't nearly as refined as some others. But, he had fun. After we returned from practice, we spent the afternoon in the front yard practicing some more. The gallery on the blog has some more action shots from today's action.

Daddy and Daughter day

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Generally, all playtime usually involves both children or just Ethan. Why? Amelia naps in the afternoons. Therefore, Ethan and I have a built-in time to "bond." This past Saturday, Amelia went to her classmate Chanley's birthday party. Anywhere Amelia goes is already a party to Amelia. So, the fun is always there, regardless. It was a great Saturday and wonderful to have Amelia all to myself. I can't wait to do it again. The only regret? I didn't have the camera. This fuzzy camera phone picture is the only memento worth publishing from the birthday party.

Staying with the Queen

Monday, February 18, 2008

I met Lynn close to Perimeter Mall in Atlanta on Saturday. We stayed next to the "King and Queen" buildings just off GA-400 at a Westin Hotel, while my parents graciously kept and entertained their grandkids. This is a photo of the "Queen" building from our hotel window. Lynn was working at a conference and we stayed over for shopping and dinner. A good break from the routine.

Now we are back in Birmingham celebrating President's Day. We just had a late breakfast and Amelia is showing me her favorite books. Ethan is replaying yesterday's Daytona 500 with his toy cars. Not a bad way to start the day.

Snow fell on Alabama.

Finally. We actually had some snow today. Good times for everyone. This is the first snow accumulation, of any kind, for our children. Clink on this snow link for more photos of white powder in Birmingham.

Spring Cleaning:
Changes all around. That's what is going on. As you can see, the web site's look is different. I've tried to update the design so that it will at least be complimentary to my wife's new blog page. I constructed that site as her Easter gift. Of course, being Lynn, she quickly learned how to make some subtle style modifications and added her own flair. News flash: she's pretty sharp.

On this site, there are links and other display items that will change. But, at least for now, the work is underway and the overall new look is complete.

In other matters:
Today we officially put our home on the market to sell. With hesitation. We love the home and the neighborhood. But, the size and amenities sometimes add challenges. So, we'll list the home in the marketplace to see if there are any offers. There are feelings of sadness and hope. We'll see how things go. So, climb aboard and rise up for the next challenge.

Hello world,

The Chapman family has found routine. Constant movement. Well, really that is what the kids do. To see a multitude of family photos, please click on this link.

Lots of things are happening in our lives. In the last couple of months I've switched roles and bosses at my company. My 10th year at the bank is about to happen (April 7), but the person that I reported to for all but the final two months will leave the company in late July. Mergers bring opportunity. Mergers also bring sadness because they abruptly remind you that everything is temporary.

Remember to check out my blog at http://www.logan.com/chris for some strange posts and plenty of links to pictures.
